HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
We are college sweethearts from the University of Alabama.
THE PROPOSAL
Connor brought the ring up to my family’s lake house in Massachusetts for a family trip. On my birthday, he proposed at my favorite spot that I have been going to since I was young. He got the help of all of my brothers to throw a big celebration with fireworks afterwards.
PREPARING FOR MARRIAGE
We had meetings with our officiant, Mary Bea Sullivan, of Saint Luke’s Episcopal Church and now Saint Stephens Episcopal Church to discuss marriage, but we have dated for six years now and knew we were ready. We wanted to get married on our anniversary, May 11, but as that date was not available for our venue and Mother’s Day weekend, we picked March 9. We only had about six months to plan, which was perfect because neither of us got stressed with wedding planning.
WEDDING MOMENTS
Our first look was so special. I was crying because I was so excited for him to see my dress, and he was facing the other direction. My bridesmaids were up in the window of our venue, watching and recording. When Connor turned around, his reaction was priceless! Eric and Jamie got the perfect photo to capture it.
