There, just us in the stillness between the trees with the Louvre behind us, my best friend asked me to marry him.

It wasn’t until I moved home from Washington, D.C. and started seeing Charlie at mutual friends’ weddings that anything came about.

We actually met through mutual friends on a summer weekend at Lake Martin back in 2012. This gave Lake Martin even more meaning when we decided to get married there.

I think my favorite moment from our wedding was just being able to dance the night away with my husband and all of our loved ones. We did not want the night to end! 

Harrison and I (Elizabeth) met the summer before starting school at Mountain Brook Junior High. Harrison asked me to “be his girlfriend” at age 15.
