Morgan Crumbaugh & Michael Resha: A Mountain Brook Wedding

How We Met: Morgan and Michael first met in the fall of 2010 at Mountain Brook High School when a mutual friend set them up for the Twilight Ball. Shortly thereafter, they began dating. Their relationship continued to develop while at Ole Miss together.

The Dress: Morgan’s wedding dress came from a little shop in downtown Boston. She was visiting for her brother’s graduation from Tufts when she found it. She tried on a few, per usual, but once she’d tried this one on, few dresses stood a chance. Having the family there was the perfect way to find her dream dress.

Favorite Details: Some of their favorite details were the desserts. For the groom’s cake by CakEffect, the artist created a three-part cake consisting of some of Michael’s favorite foods: a burger, burrito, and an added crawfish boil which was the perfect surprise for both of them. In addition to the cake, there was a wall of Seattle Chocolates as well as delicious ice cream sammies from Big Spoon Creamery.

What We Are Doing Now: The Reshas have bought their first house in Tacoma, Washington, where they now live. Morgan is finishing her audiology degree, while Michael serves in the Army at Joint Base Lewis McChord. They have been able to spend the summer hiking and camping across the Pacific Northwest and are excited to ski and snowboard this winter.
