There’s questionable behavior at Otey’s Tavern on Wednesday nights, thanks to Otey’s Team Trivia. With cold, classic cocktails, award-winning burgers and wings and the festive Otey’s atmosphere, Will Haver, Lance Taylor and Sean ‘Rockstar’ Heninger educate the masses with knowledge that will take you places. Trivia night is great for groups or a date-night activity.

Summer Happiest Hour

Lane Parke

Join the businesses of Lane Parke for summer happiest hour! This annual sip-and-stroll event takes place on the green space in front of Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams in Lane Parke. There will be local pop-ups, and attendees can receive a shopping pass to some of those same retailers. The first 25 attendees will receive a complimentary drink ticket. Visit here to learn more.

Mitchell’s Place’s Dragon Boat Festival

Saturday, Aug. 17 | 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
East Lake Park

Mitchell’s Place is hosting its fourth annual dragon boat festival, which will feature teams in longboats racing across East Lake to compete for the gold. This family-friendly event will feature a kid’s zone, merchant marketplace, food trucks and even a Bloody Mary contest. According to event organizers, this event is free to attend, and all proceeds benefit Mitchell’s Place, which is a comprehensive autism treatment center and accredited early learning preschool for children affected by autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities.
