These informal story time sessions are geared towards preschool and young elementary-age children and involve lively music to encourage participants to learn to love books and the library. These events are free and open to the public.

Geoffrey Glaub Art Camp

July 7-10 | 1-3 p.m.
O’Neal Library

Rising third through sixth grade-students are invited to expand their imaginations at this four-day art camp at the O’Neal Library! On Thursday, there will be an art exhibition for friends and family members of the campers to attend and see the campers’ art work. Learn more here.

Otey’s Fest

Saturday, July 26 | 6 p.m.
Otey’s Tavern Crestline

Returning for the 16th year, Otey’s Fest will feature live music, ice-cold beverages and delicious food, compliments of chef Rodney Davis. Proceeds benefit the Phoenix Club of Birmingham—a nonprofit providing young men opportunities to excel professionally. Admission is $25 until July 7 or $40 beginning July 8. VIP Armbands are $125 and include food, drinks and dedicated restrooms. Bands including Yacht Rock Schooner, 8 Track Country and T.U.B. will take the stage, drawing crowds of hundreds!
