HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
We met on Bumble. I grew up here in Mountain Brook, and Randall is originally from Wisconsin and lived all over the country before moving to Birmingham for the CRNA program at Samford University. Soon into his time here, Randall and I matched, met and fell in love. Luckily, he fell in love with Birmingham, too, and we have made it our new home together.
THE PROPOSAL
Randall planned a trip for us to go back to Asheville, North Carolina, where we had our first official getaway together. We went to Chimney Rock and hiked my favorite trail. Randall seemed to be walking much slower than normal and taking breaks for pictures. Unbeknownst to me, he had coordinated for both our families to be there at the top of the mountain for the proposal and was trying to give them time to make it there! When we finally approached the top, I saw his mom and began to clue in. Randall dropped to his knee and asked me to marry him.
WEDDING DRESS DETAILS
The wedding dress I chose was the very first I tried on. It was a beautiful combination of traditionalism, elegance and simplicity, while still having the fun and unique tie detail at the front. I loved the silhouette and the buttons all the way down the back. The bridal consultants at Carriage House Weddings were so kind and helpful and made the process fun.
WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE
The most helpful tip given to me was not to get too caught up in the little details because inevitably, something will fall through or not go as planned. However, all will be perfect because you get to marry the love of your life.
