Back for the second year, Community Night Out is a free event that is open to the public. Patrons can meet Mountain Brook first responders, see their equipment and trucks up close and learn about public safety.

Tapas and Taps

Thursday, Oct. 10 | 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Lane Parke

Back for the fourth year in a row, Tapas and Taps, a tasting event that is hosted by Crawford Square Real Estate Advisors, will feature food and beverage vendors, music and fun for all ages. Several vendors include Monday Night Brewing, Lady Bird Taco, Little Betty Steak Bar, Habitat Feed & Social, The Rougaroux and more. This event’s proceeds will benefit Arc of Central Alabama. The Fall Edit

Enjoy live music, kids’ activities on the green and a shopping extravaganza at this special community event! Attendees will receive a “Parke Pass,” giving them exclusive access to event-specific deals and discounts at participating retailers in Lane Parke. After one has marked off each store on her pass, she’ll be entered into a drawing for a “Lane Parke” giveaway! Learn more here

Bolt for Breast Cancer 5k & Fun Run

Sunday, Oct. 27 | 1-5 p.m.
Crestline Field at Crestline Elementary School

Hosted by the Junior Board of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama, the seventh annual Bolt for Breast Cancer 5K and Fun Run is back! Whether you run, walk or “scoot” to the finish line, stay after the races conclude to enjoy the event’s sponsored refreshments, music and kids’ activities. Registration fees are $35 for adults, $25 for children ages 4-12 and free for kids ages 3 and under. Mountain Brook-based nonprofit Libby’s Friends is hosting a family-friendly, fundraising event, featuring a costume contest, stein hosting, a hot dog-eating contest and more! There will be live music and plenty of fun activities and games for all. Learn more here.

Harvest on Hoyt

Sunday, Oct. 27 | 4-7 p.m.

As a joint effort by the Mountain Brook Chamber of Commerce and the Mountain Brook Chamber Junior Board, Harvest on Hoyt is an outdoor dinner taking place on Hoyt Lane, involving the talents of multiple Mountain Brook businesses. Event attendees will taste red and white wine samples from Finch Fine Wines, while dining on a hearty, four-course feast from Dyron’s Lowcountry. Leadership Mountain Brook students will serve guests, and local band, The Gore Brothers, will serenade the crowd with musical delight. This event is projected to be the largest, chamber-organized event with proceeds benefiting the chamber and its community-sponsored initiatives. Pinnacle Bank, Guin Service, Bromberg’s Jewelry, Oak Street Garden Shop, Red Diamond Tea & Coffee, Otey’s Tavern, Taco Mama and Finch Fine Wines are all sponsoring this evening. The Mystics of Mountain Brook Parade

Crestline Village

What began more than a decade ago as a way to incorporate a little bit of Mardi Gras into Mountain Brook is now one of the city’s most beloved traditions. Siblings Trent Wright and Casey Wright Horn started this tradition to pay homage to their roots, and now, thousands of spectators line the streets in Crestline Village every Halloween, eager to view the parade. Parents, be advised to bring bags or buckets for children’s candy and arrive early! Stay updated on this event here.
