They say defense wins championships, which and the Mountain Brook Spartans proved that statement on Saturday, May 11 with a dominant defensive effort against Briarwood to bring home the Class 6A State Championship.

On a hot and humid morning in Huntsville, the Mountain Brook Spartans used their strength of possession to take down the Athens Golden Eagles 3-0 on Thursday, May 9 in the semifinals of the Class 6A playoffs.
