Alexander and Brailyn crossed paths four years ago at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa where they lived across the street from each other.

After meeting we went on our first date two days later and have been together since then.

We were able to give some fun nods to our Louisiana friends with a second line, king cake and a New Orleans jazz band to lead us out.

I’m one of four girls, so when my older sister got married, the four of us decided to take our mother’s wedding gown and use the material and lace to create a new dress.

Nicholas and I (Helen) met in preschool at Independent Presbyterian Church Day School, which made it extra special to be married at IPC.
