4. Disc Golf Goes Pink

Saturday, Sept. 9 | 9 a.m.
Oliver Park and George W. Roy Park in Calera

Brought to patrons by Bham Now and Vulcan Imaging Women’s, Disc Golf Goes Pink is a PDGA-sanctioned disc golf tournament benefiting Mountain Brook-based non profit, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation of Alabama. While check-in opens to registrants at 7:30 a.m., the tournament does not begin until 9 a.m. Those participating will play at Oliver Park and George W. Roy Park in Calera, Alabama, with the two courses totaling 36 holes in all. For updates, visit here.  

5. Pooches on the Patio

To celebrate its 12th anniversary, Vino is hosting a “pawty” on the patio, and guests are welcome to bring their dogs! This event benefits the Greater Birmingham Humane Society “GBHS,” which will have dogs available for adoption at this gathering. Notably, a portion of the event’s signature $8 drinks, the Pink Poodle and the Arnold Pawmer, will also benefit the GBHS. There will be a drawing for a $100 Vino gift card, too!
