The Proposal: My (Caroline) parents’ home has this big rock in the backyard where you can see the city lights, and that is where my dad and I had many conversations over coffee involving future career goals, boy drama, etc. Trey was sweet enough to know to propose there. He set up candles leading from the back gate to the rock. My sister actually just got engaged in the front of my parent’s house, so I guess my brother has to follow the tradition!

Favorite Moment: Given that it had been 70 degrees the morning before, we did not expect snow! At 4 a.m. the morning of my wedding, my mom, sister and I were all in bed reminiscing and giggling about the rehearsal dinner the night before. Once the sun came up, we all walked downstairs to get coffee and saw that the entire ground was covered with snow. We were giddy. It continued to snow throughout the day, which made it the most beautiful mountain wedding.

Favorite Details: The details of the icing with the flowers made it my dream wedding cake! Everyone should always go with the almond buttercream frosting. We also loved our band! I’m serious when saying everyone was dancing the entire time. I don’t think my brother or father got off the dance floor.

What We Are Doing Now: I’m currently in medical school at UAB applying for a residency in pediatrics. My husband is an account manager at Insight Global.
