HOW DID YOU TWO MEET?
Jack and I both grew up in Mountain Brook and went to school together. We were always friends, but we didn’t start dating until we were in college at Auburn University.
THE PROPOSAL
Aside from our wedding day of course, this was the happiest day of my life! Jack and I live in Texas now, and we were back home for Easter. We had plans to eat with his family that night, so he brought me back to his house so that we could ride with everyone to dinner (or so I thought). When we got to his house, he led me down the side path to the backyard, and I finally started to catch on. He got down on one knee and proposed! All of our family was there, and our friends came later to celebrate!
WEDDING DRESS DETAILS
I ended up looking for dresses in Nashville because my grandmothers live there, and I wanted them to be part of the experience. When I tried on my dress, it was a feeling of comfort and being able to see myself wear that dress down the aisle. My mom also started sobbing as soon as I walked out, so that was a good sign. After trying a veil on with it, I knew that was the dress for me. Ultimately, it was less of the details and more of the feeling for why I chose my wedding dress.
WEDDING PLANNING ADVICE
It may seem stressful at times, but try to enjoy every minute of it. Time goes by so fast!
